Community Outreach Area Coordinators
Community Outreach
Community Outreach Area Coordinators serve as vital ambassadors of the 5Plus2 Challenge within their assigned regions. With strong interpersonal skills and a passion for public health, COACs play a central role in expanding the reach of the organization by building local relationships, promoting awareness, and fostering active community participation in diabetes prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively with local clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, schools, faith-based institutions, and community centers to introduce and promote the 5Plus2 Challenge.
- Represent the organization at health fairs, local medical exhibitions, and community wellness events.
- Organize and manage information booths or tables at public venues such as malls, high schools, gyms, parks, and farmers’ markets.
- Collaborate with volunteers and local partners to maximize outreach efforts and ensure consistent messaging across all activities.
